Director

Dr Tali Hoffman

Honeyguide’s Director, Dr Tali Hoffman, is driven by an unwavering passion for effecting positive change. Her experience as both a scientist and science communicator, and her rich and multifaceted skill set, position her well to bridge the gaps that exist between science, policy, and practice.

With a PhD in Zoology Tali is able to understand and interpret the technical complexity of a wide range of scientific disciplines. Through a decade of working as a science communicator she has honed her ability to make that science more relatable and accessible to diverse audiences.

Tali focuses on both the big picture and the finer detail, developing and implementing science communication strategies that target key audiences, and boosting the impact, use, and value of research. This paired with her natural teaching abilities further allows her to effectively strengthen the science communication capacities of others.

Collaborators

Brendon Bosworth

Brendon Bosworth, Director of Human Element Communications, believes that academic research needs to be paired with a softer, more human approach that relies on the power of storytelling to bring science to life. Brendon has over 10 years experience as a journalist, editor, and communicator with a focus on urbanisation, climate change, and development. His work inside and outside of research institutions, locally and abroad, has allowed him to identify the challenges and opportunities for creating better synergies between researchers and non-specialist audiences.

We partner with Brendon to design and facilitate online science communication training for individuals, groups and organisations.
